Job Description

Puna Plumbing is actively seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plumber to join our dedicated team in Downtown Pahoa, Hawaii. Key Responsibilities

  • Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems and fixtures in residential, commercial, and industrial structures.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot plumbing issues, including leaks, clogs, and system malfunctions.
  • Cut, assemble, and install pipes and fittings, using various materials such as copper, PVC, and PEX.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and plumbing diagrams to determine layout and installation procedures.
  • Test plumbing systems for leaks and other problems, ensuring compliance with safety and building codes.
  • Perform routine maintenance on plumbing systems, including water heaters, pumps, and drainage systems.
  • Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, explaining issues and solutions clearly to clients.
  • Adhere to all local, state, and national plumbing codes and safety regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and hours worked.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Plumber or Journeyman Plumber (minimum 3 years).
  • Proficiency in all aspects of plumbing installation, maintenance, and repair.
  • Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, including water supply, drainage, and waste disposal.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safety protocols and practices.
  • Eligibility and willingness to apply for a Skilled Trade Visa for work in the United States.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Journeyman Plumber license.
