Job Description
Puna Plumbing is actively seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plumber to join our dedicated team in Downtown Pahoa, Hawaii. This is an exceptional opportunity for qualified plumbing professionals who are looking to relocate and contribute their expertise to our vibrant island community under a Skilled Trade Visa. As a Plumber with Puna Plumbing, you will be instrumental in delivering top-tier plumbing services across residential, commercial, and industrial settings throughout the Puna district and surrounding areas. Your role will encompass a broad spectrum of plumbing tasks, including the installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of water supply systems, drainage systems, sewage systems, and associated fixtures and appliances. Key Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems and fixtures in residential, commercial, and industrial structures.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot plumbing issues, including leaks, clogs, and system malfunctions.
- Cut, assemble, and install pipes and fittings, using various materials such as copper, PVC, and PEX.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and plumbing diagrams to determine layout and installation procedures.
- Test plumbing systems for leaks and other problems, ensuring compliance with safety and building codes.
- Perform routine maintenance on plumbing systems, including water heaters, pumps, and drainage systems.
- Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Provide exceptional customer service, explaining issues and solutions clearly to clients.
- Adhere to all local, state, and national plumbing codes and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and hours worked.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Plumber or Journeyman Plumber (minimum 3 years).
- Proficiency in all aspects of plumbing installation, maintenance, and repair.
- Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, including water supply, drainage, and waste disposal.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to safety protocols and practices.
- Eligibility and willingness to apply for a Skilled Trade Visa for work in the United States.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
- Journeyman Plumber license.
