Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Executive to join our team in Bukavu, focusing on both Business-to-Business (B2B) and Retail segments. This pivotal role involves identifying new business opportunities, fostering strong relationships with existing clients, and driving sales of Vodacom’s comprehensive suite of products and services. You will be responsible for expanding our market share by engaging with corporate clients, small and medium enterprises (SMEs), and managing our retail distribution channels, including agents and dealers. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the local market, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and a proven track record of exceeding sales targets. This role demands a proactive individual who can effectively articulate the value proposition of Vodacom’s offerings, from mobile connectivity and data solutions to enterprise services and digital products. Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve and exceed assigned sales targets for both B2B and Retail segments.
  • Identify, prospect, and secure new corporate and retail clients within Bukavu and surrounding areas.
  • Manage and grow relationships with existing B2B clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Oversee the performance of retail agents and dealers, providing support, training, and motivation to maximize sales.
  • Conduct market research to identify customer needs, market trends, and competitor activities.
  • Prepare and present compelling sales proposals and product demonstrations to potential clients.
  • Negotiate contracts and close sales in line with company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and pipeline in the CRM system.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, technical, customer service) to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Provide regular sales reports and forecasts to management.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Sales Executive, preferably within the telecommunications or FMCG sector (minimum 3 years).
  • Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets in both B2B and Retail environments.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong negotiation and persuasion abilities.
  • Proficiency in French and Swahili (knowledge of Kinyarwanda is a significant advantage).
  • Familiarity with CRM software and sales processes.
  • Strong understanding of the local market dynamics in Bukavu, South Kivu Province.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively within the region.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Prior experience working with telecommunications products and services.
  • Existing network of contacts within the Bukavu business community.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
