Job Description
Are you a skilled and dedicated technician with a passion for delivering seamless digital entertainment solutions? SkyView Digital Solutions is seeking an experienced and customer-focused Satellite Dish Installer to join our dynamic team in Calabar. As a Satellite Dish Installer, you will be the face of our company, responsible for the professional installation, activation, and troubleshooting of DSTV and other satellite television systems in residential and commercial settings within Odukpani Junction and across Calabar. This role demands a strong technical aptitude, an unwavering commitment to quality workmanship, and excellent interpersonal skills to ensure every customer interaction is positive and productive. You will work independently and as part of a team, utilizing your expertise to achieve optimal signal strength, neat cabling, and thorough system configuration. Key Responsibilities
- Perform professional installation of satellite dishes and decoders for DSTV, GOtv, and other digital TV services in various customer locations.
- Accurately site, assemble, and align satellite dishes to achieve optimal signal strength and quality.
- Run and conceal cables neatly, ensuring compliance with safety standards and aesthetic preferences.
- Configure and activate decoders, smart cards, and related equipment, ensuring full functionality.
- Educate customers on the operation of their new satellite TV system, including remote control usage and basic troubleshooting.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to satellite reception, decoder malfunctions, and cabling problems.
- Conduct site surveys to assess installation requirements and provide accurate estimates.
- Maintain accurate records of installations, service calls, and equipment used.
- Adhere strictly to company policies, safety protocols, and industry best practices at all times.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in satellite dish installation and alignment (DSTV, GOtv preferred).
- Strong technical knowledge of satellite television systems and components.
- Proficiency in using installation tools, signal meters, and testing equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Valid driver's license and ability to commute to various job sites.
- Physical fitness to climb ladders, lift equipment, and work in various weather conditions.
- Basic understanding of electrical safety procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical certification in electronics or a related field.
- Previous experience working for an authorized DSTV installer.
- Knowledge of various TV models and home theatre systems.
- Ability to speak local languages (e.g., Efik, Ibibio) in addition to English.
- Experience with smart home integration or network setup.
