Save-On-Foods is seeking a dedicated Warehouse Picking Aide to join our bustling distribution centre team in Sapperton, New Westminster. Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment according to order specifications and quality standards.
  • Operate warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks and hand trucks, in a safe and efficient manner (training provided).
  • Verify product quantities and ensure items are free from damage before packaging.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all company safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Assist with inventory management tasks, including counting and stocking products as required.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow and timely order fulfillment.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
  • Perform other general warehouse duties as assigned.

Required Skills

  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects regularly (up to 50 lbs)
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order picking and verification.
  • Basic mathematical skills for counting and inventory checks.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
  • Reliability and punctuality for scheduled shifts.
  • Flexibility to adapt to varying work schedules, including evenings and weekends.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution centre environment.
  • Familiarity with RF scanners or other inventory management systems.
  • Experience operating material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts – certification not required, but a plus).
