Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor various cement production machinery and control systems safely and efficiently.
- Perform routine checks, inspections, and preventative maintenance on plant equipment.
- Identify and troubleshoot operational issues, reporting complex problems to supervisors immediately.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate operational logs, production records, and shift reports.
- Collaborate with maintenance, quality control, and other teams to ensure seamless production.
- Ensure product quality meets specified standards through continuous monitoring and adjustment of processes.
- Participate in emergency response drills and follow emergency protocols when required.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Plant Operator, preferably in a cement or heavy industrial setting.
- Strong understanding of industrial machinery, control systems, and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and operational procedures.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to all operational guidelines.
- Good communication skills (verbal and written) and ability to work effectively in a team.
- Basic computer literacy for data entry and reporting.
Preferred Qualifications
- OND/HND or Trade Test Certificate in Mechanical, Electrical, or Process Engineering.
- Experience with SCADA systems or similar plant control software.
- Valid certification in industrial safety practices (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA equivalent).
- First aid certification is a plus.
