You’ll be responsible for accurately picking, consolidating, wrapping, and loading pallets with a diverse range of food service products, from fresh produce to frozen goods and dry staples. Your day will involve operating pallet jacks and other material handling equipment (training provided if needed), meticulously checking product codes, and ensuring all orders are prepared for timely dispatch. Key Responsibilities
- Accurately pick and consolidate orders from various warehouse locations onto pallets.
- Efficiently wrap and secure pallets for safe transportation, ensuring product integrity.
- Operate manual and electric pallet jacks safely and proficiently (training provided as needed).
- Load and unload delivery trucks, adhering to strict safety and quality standards.
- Perform routine checks on products for quality and quantity, reporting any discrepancies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment in accordance with company standards.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily productivity and accuracy goals.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects regularly (up to 50 lbs)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order picking and product handling.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, temperature-controlled warehouse environment.
- Basic comprehension of English for safety instructions and product labels.
- Team-oriented mindset with good communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution setting.
- Experience operating pallet jacks or other material handling equipment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Forklift certification (an asset, but not required).
