You will be responsible for receiving, organizing, and stocking merchandise across various departments, from produce to pantry staples, adhering to strict rotation and freshness standards. Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently receive, unload, and process incoming product deliveries.
- Sort and organize merchandise in the backroom and storage areas, ensuring proper stock rotation (FIFO – First-In, First-Out).
- Accurately replenish shelves, displays, and coolers across various departments.
- Verify product freshness, check expiry dates, and remove expired or damaged items.
- Ensure products are correctly priced and signage is accurate and visible.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working and shopping environment.
- Assist customers with locating products and provide friendly, helpful service when needed.
- Operate pallet jacks and other equipment safely and efficiently (training provided).
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate stock needs to management.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and health and safety regulations.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical stamina and ability to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a retail, grocery, or warehouse environment.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
