Job Description
As a Full-Time Warehouse Staff member at Pasha Hawaii in Pearl City, Hawaii, you will play a crucial role in our dynamic logistics and supply chain operations. This position is integral to the efficient movement and accurate handling of cargo that connects Hawaii with the global market. Key Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, and meticulously inspect incoming shipments, cross-referencing contents against packing lists and purchase orders for accuracy.
- Accurately sort, label, and strategically store goods in designated warehouse locations to optimize space and accessibility.
- Safely and efficiently operate various material handling equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks, ensuring adherence to all safety regulations.
- Precisely pick and stage outgoing orders, ensuring completeness and preparing them for secure shipment.
- Package and re-package items securely to prevent damage during transit, utilizing appropriate packing materials.
- Assist with comprehensive inventory counts, cycle counts, and maintain impeccably organized storage areas.
- Load outgoing shipments onto trucks or containers, ensuring proper weight distribution and securement for safe transportation.
- Strictly adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including OSHA regulations, to maintain a hazard-free work environment.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment and promptly report any malfunctions or required repairs.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment at all times.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to achieve daily operational goals and uphold efficiency.
- Accurately document all inventory movements and discrepancies using warehouse management systems (WMS).
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a warehouse, logistics, or similar operational environment.
- Demonstrated ability to safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment (certification is a plus, but willingness to train is required).
- Physical ability to frequently lift, push, pull, and carry objects up to 50 lbs, and to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
- Basic computer proficiency for inventory tracking and data entry.
- Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in all tasks.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a collaborative mindset.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic and commitment to attendance.
- Ability to work effectively in varying environmental conditions, including both indoor and outdoor settings, as required.
