Hata & Co., Limited, Hawaii’s leading foodservice distributor, is seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Delivery Driver to join our dynamic Kapolei team for a critical Logistics Route. In this pivotal role, you will be the face of our company, ensuring the timely and accurate distribution of quality food products to our valued clients across Oahu.

This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute directly to the local economy and build strong relationships with our diverse customer base. You will be responsible for operating well-maintained company vehicles, including box trucks (Class B CDL preferred), equipped with modern navigation and communication tools. Safety is paramount, and you will be expected to conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections, follow all traffic laws, and adhere to company safety protocols meticulously. You will also manage accurate loading and unloading of shipments, verify order accuracy against invoices, and provide exceptional customer service with every interaction.

Key Responsibilities
- Operate company vehicles safely and efficiently, including commercial box trucks, to deliver food products to various customer locations across Oahu.
- Follow pre-determined logistics routes and delivery schedules, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
- Load and unload delivery trucks, safely moving products using pallet jacks, hand trucks, or by hand, adhering to proper lifting techniques.
- Verify product counts, inspect for damages, and confirm order accuracy against invoices with customers upon delivery.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing any concerns professionally and courteously.
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, maintaining accurate vehicle logs and reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company safety policies, and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of delivery vehicles and equipment.
- Process paperwork, including delivery manifests, invoices, and payment collections as required.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, warehouse personnel, and customers regarding delivery status or issues.
Required Skills
- Valid Driver's License (Class D or higher)
- Clean driving record for the past 3-5 years
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 75 pounds frequently and maneuver heavy items
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic math skills for order verification and payment processing
Preferred Qualifications
- Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Previous experience as a delivery driver in a foodservice or logistics environment
- Familiarity with Oahu road networks and delivery areas, especially Kapolei and surrounding regions
- Experience operating pallet jacks and hand trucks
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
