Flutterwave is actively seeking a dedicated IT Support Officer to join our dynamic team in Duke Town, Calabar. In this critical role, you will be the first point of contact for our employees, providing essential technical assistance and support to ensure their productivity and smooth workflow.
As an IT Support Officer, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the integrity and efficiency of our IT infrastructure, directly contributing to our operational success. Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-level technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, network, and system-related issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), applications, and peripherals.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights across various systems and platforms.
- Respond promptly to IT support tickets, resolving issues efficiently and documenting solutions.
- Assist with network connectivity issues, including Wi-Fi, LAN, and VPN configurations.
- Conduct routine system checks, backups, and maintenance to ensure optimal performance and data security.
- Provide technical guidance and training to end-users on IT best practices and new technologies.
- Collaborate with senior IT staff and other departments to escalate and resolve complex technical problems.
- Manage inventory of IT assets, including laptops, desktops, monitors, and other equipment.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of IT policies and procedures.
- Monitor system performance and proactively identify potential issues to prevent downtime.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an IT support or helpdesk role.
- Strong knowledge of Windows, macOS, and common office applications (e.g., Microsoft Office 365, Google Workspace).
- Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware components (laptops, desktops, printers) and software applications.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi).
- Experience with ticketing systems and IT service management (ITSM) best practices.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Customer-service oriented with a patient and professional demeanor.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, ITIL Foundation).
- Experience with mobile device management (MDM) solutions.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Experience supporting remote users and setting up remote work environments.
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automation.
