Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and analyses.
  • Support the budgeting and forecasting processes, gathering data and contributing to model development.
  • Perform detailed financial data entry and reconciliation to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial records.
  • Contribute to month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Conduct variance analysis and provide explanations for financial performance deviations.
  • Help develop and implement financial controls and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other departments to gather financial information and support cross-functional projects.
  • Research and resolve discrepancies in financial records and transactions.
  • Prepare ad-hoc financial reports and presentations as required by management.
  • Maintain confidentiality of financial information and ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in a finance or accounting role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, financial modeling).
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree or professional certification (CPA, CFA candidate).

  • Experience in the transportation, tourism, or hospitality industry.
