We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Finance Associate to join our Corporate Team in Hilo, Hawaii. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and analyses.
- Support the budgeting and forecasting processes, gathering data and contributing to model development.
- Perform detailed financial data entry and reconciliation to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial records.
- Contribute to month-end and year-end close processes.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide explanations for financial performance deviations.
- Help develop and implement financial controls and procedures.
- Collaborate with other departments to gather financial information and support cross-functional projects.
- Research and resolve discrepancies in financial records and transactions.
- Prepare ad-hoc financial reports and presentations as required by management.
- Maintain confidentiality of financial information and ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in a finance or accounting role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, financial modeling).
- Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree or professional certification (CPA, CFA candidate).
- Experience with major ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
