Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and energetic Warehouse Assistant to join our Kennesaw distribution team for a vital daytime role. Key Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming materials and compare them against purchase orders for accuracy.
- Safely and efficiently store materials in designated warehouse locations using appropriate equipment.
- Pick and stage customer orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring proper packaging for shipment.
- Prepare items for shipment, including packaging, labeling, and loading onto trucks.
- Operate various warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks (certification a plus).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment, adhering to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and assist in resolving inventory discrepancies.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize warehouse processes and workflow.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support overall warehouse operations.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 6 months of experience in a warehouse, logistics, or similar operational environment.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) frequently throughout the shift.
- Basic computer proficiency for data entry and inventory management systems.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment and inventory handling.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience operating a forklift or other material handling equipment (certification preferred).
- Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or inventory software.
- Experience in the automotive parts distribution industry.
- Proven track record of reliability and punctuality.
