Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of graphic designers and visual production specialists, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
  • Oversee the conceptualization, design, and production of all visual assets, including digital graphics, print materials, motion graphics, and basic video edits.
  • Ensure all visual content adheres strictly to Vodacom's global brand guidelines and local marketing strategies.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks, setting deadlines, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality assets.
  • Collaborate closely with marketing, product development, and communication teams to understand project requirements and translate them into compelling visual solutions.
  • Implement best practices in visual design, production workflows, and asset management.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, tools, and technologies to continuously elevate our visual content and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Provide quality control for all outgoing visual materials, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and a high aesthetic standard.
  • Contribute hands-on design work for key projects as needed, demonstrating advanced proficiency in design software.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Premiere Pro)
  • Strong understanding of visual design principles, typography, color theory, and layout.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing a creative team.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with 3D design software (e.g., Blender, Cinema 4D).
  • Proficiency in Lingala and/or Swahili.
  • Experience with UI/UX design principles for digital platforms.
