Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet and seat guests upon their arrival, presenting menus and daily specials.
- Accurately take food and beverage orders, utilizing point-of-sale (POS) systems, and relaying them to the kitchen/bar.
- Serve food and beverages promptly and efficiently, ensuring presentation standards are met.
- Anticipate guests' needs and respond to requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas, including tables, chairs, and service stations.
- Handle guest inquiries and resolve any service issues or complaints with professionalism and tact.
- Process payments, operate cash registers, and accurately manage cash and credit card transactions.
- Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff, hosts, and other service team members to ensure smooth operations.
- Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Assist with setting up and breaking down dining areas for events or peak service periods.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Waiter/Waitress in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Basic math skills for handling payments and making change.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
