Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently load and unload freight from trailers, containers, and other vehicles.
- Operate various material handling equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks, following all safety guidelines.
- Verify product counts against shipping manifests, identifying and reporting any discrepancies, damage, or missing items.
- Properly stage incoming shipments for put-away and outgoing shipments for loading.
- Secure freight within trailers using straps, load bars, and other equipment to prevent shifting and damage during transit.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.
- Perform routine pre-operational checks on equipment and report any malfunctions or maintenance needs promptly.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to optimize workflow and meet daily operational targets and deadlines.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with inventory counts and quality control checks as needed.
Required Skills
- Ability to safely lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs frequently and stand for extended periods.
- Demonstrated ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
- Basic mathematical skills for counting and verifying shipments.
- Reliable attendance and a strong commitment to punctuality.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience (1+ year) operating forklifts, pallet jacks, or other powered industrial trucks.
- Prior experience in a warehouse, logistics, or distribution center environment.

- Experience with basic computer systems or warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
- Certification in forklift operation.
