As a Moving Truck Assistant, you will be a crucial and integral member of our professional moving crew, working closely with our experienced truck drivers and lead movers. Your primary responsibilities will encompass the careful and efficient packing, protective wrapping, secure loading, and precise unloading of furniture, appliances, boxes, and a wide array of other household or office items. This dynamic role demands excellent physical stamina, meticulous attention to detail to prevent any damage, and a consistently positive, client-focused attitude. You’ll be instrumental in preparing items for safe transport, ensuring they are expertly stacked and securely stored within the moving truck, and then efficiently and safely placed in their new location according to specific client instructions.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist lead movers and truck drivers with loading and unloading furniture, boxes, and other items into and out of moving trucks.
- Carefully pack, wrap, and protect items to prevent damage during transit.
- Disassemble and reassemble furniture as required.
- Operate moving equipment such as dollies, hand trucks, and furniture pads safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment within the truck and at client locations.
- Communicate effectively and courteously with clients, addressing their questions and concerns professionally.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies to ensure a safe working environment.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of equipment and report any issues.
- Contribute to a positive team atmosphere and follow instructions from supervisors.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy items (up to 75 lbs) repeatedly and safely.

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in the moving, warehousing, or general labour industry.
