Key Responsibilities

  • Clean and tidy all assigned guest rooms to the highest standards, including making beds, dusting furniture, vacuuming carpets, mopping floors, and cleaning bathrooms.
  • Ensure all rooms are stocked with essential amenities, fresh linens, and towels according to hotel standards.
  • Clean and maintain common areas such as lobbies, hallways, stairwells, and public restrooms.
  • Handle and store cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and responsibly, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Report any maintenance issues, damages, or missing items promptly to the supervisor.
  • Monitor and manage inventory of cleaning supplies and guest amenities, informing the supervisor when restocking is needed.
  • Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests and inquiries, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction.
  • Follow established procedures for handling lost and found items.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
  • Assist with laundry services as needed, including washing, drying, folding, and storing linens.
  • Collaborate effectively with other hotel staff, including front desk and maintenance teams.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Housekeeper or similar role, preferably within a hotel or hospitality setting.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high standard of cleanliness.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to complete tasks.
  • Strong physical stamina and ability to perform duties requiring bending, lifting (up to 25 lbs), pushing, and pulling.
  • Basic understanding of hygiene and sanitation principles.
  • Reliable, punctual, and a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively.
