Job Description

Are you a highly motivated and physically capable individual seeking flexible work hours in a dynamic retail environment? London Drugs in Kerrisdale, Vancouver, is looking for a dedicated Warehouse Pallet Loader to join our team. In this essential role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the efficient flow of merchandise from our delivery trucks to our stockroom and sales floor. Your primary focus will involve the safe and efficient unloading of incoming shipments, organizing products on pallets, and moving them using manual or powered equipment (once trained and certified, if applicable). This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely and efficiently unload merchandise from delivery trucks, often involving heavy lifting and manual dexterity.
  • Organize and stack products onto pallets according to established safety guidelines and store procedures.
  • Operate pallet jacks, forklifts (if certified and required), or other material handling equipment to move pallets within the receiving area and stockroom.
  • Ensure accurate sorting and placement of incoming inventory.
  • Assist with the breakdown of pallets, removing packaging, and preparing products for stocking.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area and stockroom.
  • Collaborate with store staff and management to ensure timely processing of merchandise.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.

Required Skills

  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) frequently and perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling merchandise.
  • Reliability and punctuality are essential for shift coverage.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
  • Basic understanding of safety protocols in a warehouse or retail receiving setting.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a warehouse, retail receiving, or stockroom role.
  • Experience operating a pallet jack or similar material handling equipment.
  • Forklift certification is an asset (training may be provided for the right candidate).
