Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of small to medium-sized businesses, ensuring their successful onboarding and continued engagement with Paystack.
  • Proactively monitor customer health and identify at-risk accounts, developing strategies for intervention and retention.
  • Educate customers on Paystack's features, updates, and best practices to help them optimize their payment processes.
  • Provide first-line support for customer inquiries, troubleshooting basic technical issues and escalating complex problems to specialized teams when necessary.
  • Gather customer feedback and insights, relaying them to product and engineering teams to drive continuous improvement.
  • Conduct regular check-ins with customers to understand their evolving needs and suggest relevant Paystack solutions.
  • Assist in the creation of customer success resources, including FAQs, tutorials, and onboarding guides.
  • Contribute to team knowledge sharing and best practices to continuously improve the customer success function.

Required Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build rapport.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach.
  • High level of empathy and a customer-first mindset.
  • Basic understanding of digital payments or e-commerce platforms.
  • Proficiency in using productivity tools (e.g., Google Workspace, Microsoft Office).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Prior experience in a customer-facing role (e.g., customer service, sales support) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
  • Basic understanding of the FinTech industry and its landscape in Nigeria.
  • Ability to speak local languages relevant to the Calabar region is an advantage.
