Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily deep cleaning of kitchen areas, including floors, walls, and work surfaces, to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Operate and maintain dishwashing equipment, ensuring all dishes, cutlery, and cooking utensils are thoroughly cleaned, sanitized, and properly stored.
  • Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills, fryers, stovetops, refrigerators, and freezers according to established schedules.
  • Manage waste disposal, including emptying trash bins, sorting recyclables, and maintaining cleanliness of waste areas.
  • Assist with the cleaning and organization of food storage areas, ensuring proper rotation and cleanliness.
  • Monitor cleaning supplies inventory and report needs to the kitchen supervisor to ensure availability.
  • Adhere to all food safety standards and company hygiene protocols, including HACCP principles if applicable.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to the appropriate personnel.
  • Collaborate effectively with the culinary team and other kitchen staff to maintain a harmonious and efficient working environment.
