Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, and replace complex vehicle wiring harnesses, electrical components, and systems.
- Perform comprehensive electrical system diagnostics using advanced testing equipment and tools.
- Interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals to identify and resolve electrical issues.
- Install and configure new electrical accessories, alarms, audio systems, and other vehicle electronics.
- Test and verify the functionality of repaired or installed electrical systems to ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications.
- Conduct preventative maintenance on electrical systems to prevent future failures.
- Collaborate with mechanical technicians to ensure seamless integration of electrical and mechanical repairs.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols and environmental regulations.
- Keep accurate records of all services performed, parts used, and diagnostic findings.
- Provide expert advice and communicate effectively with customers regarding electrical issues and solutions.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as an Auto Electrician with a strong focus on vehicle wiring.
- Expertise in diagnosing and repairing complex automotive electrical faults.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical wiring diagrams and schematics.
- Hands-on experience with modern diagnostic tools and equipment (e.g., scan tools, multimeters, oscilloscopes).
- Thorough knowledge of vehicle electrical systems, including engine management, ABS, airbags, lighting, and infotainment.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
