Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive user research to understand user behaviors, needs, and pain points, translating insights into actionable design solutions.
- Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas.
- Design, build, and iterate on high-fidelity user interface mockups and prototypes across various platforms (web, mobile, etc.).
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers to define product strategy and contribute to the overall product roadmap.
- Work hand-in-hand with engineering teams to ensure designs are implemented accurately and to the highest quality standards.
- Facilitate user testing sessions, gather feedback, and iterate on designs based on user insights and business objectives.
- Maintain and evolve our design system, ensuring consistency and scalability across all Paystack products.
- Present and defend design decisions to cross-functional teams and stakeholders, advocating for user-centered design principles.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest UI/UX trends, techniques, and technologies to continuously improve our design processes and product offerings.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Product Designer, UX Designer, or similar role with a strong portfolio showcasing a variety of projects.
- Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar.
- Solid understanding of user-centered design (UCD) principles, information architecture, and usability testing methodologies.
- Experience designing for complex web and mobile applications.
- Strong visual design skills with a keen eye for detail and aesthetics.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and independently manage multiple design projects.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience in the FinTech industry or designing for financial products.
- Familiarity with front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to understand technical constraints and possibilities.
- Experience with motion design or animation for user interfaces.
- Ability to conduct and analyze quantitative and qualitative research.
