Key Responsibilities

  • Warmly greet and welcome guests upon arrival, efficiently managing the check-in and check-out procedures.
  • Process reservations, room assignments, and cancellations with accuracy using property management systems.
  • Handle guest inquiries, requests, and concerns promptly and professionally, escalating issues when necessary to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Provide comprehensive information about hotel services, facilities, local attractions, and dining options.
  • Manage cash handling, credit card transactions, and maintain accurate records of all financial transactions.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting lobby and front desk area.
  • Answer multi-line phone systems, direct calls, and take messages accurately.
  • Collaborate effectively with other hotel departments (housekeeping, maintenance, food & beverage) to fulfill guest needs.
  • Adhere to all hotel safety and security procedures.
  • Assist with administrative tasks as needed to support front office operations.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 6 months experience in a customer service role, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills and ability to learn property management systems quickly.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to guest satisfaction.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • A positive attitude, professional appearance, and reliable work ethic.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience with Marriott's FOSSE or similar hotel property management software.
  • Associate’s degree or relevant certification in Hospitality Management.
  • Bilingual proficiency (e.g., Spanish, French) is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to de-escalate difficult situations and provide conflict resolution.
