Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet and welcome guests upon arrival, efficiently managing the check-in and check-out procedures.
- Process reservations, room assignments, and cancellations with accuracy using property management systems.
- Handle guest inquiries, requests, and concerns promptly and professionally, escalating issues when necessary to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Provide comprehensive information about hotel services, facilities, local attractions, and dining options.
- Manage cash handling, credit card transactions, and maintain accurate records of all financial transactions.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting lobby and front desk area.
- Answer multi-line phone systems, direct calls, and take messages accurately.
- Collaborate effectively with other hotel departments (housekeeping, maintenance, food & beverage) to fulfill guest needs.
- Adhere to all hotel safety and security procedures.
- Assist with administrative tasks as needed to support front office operations.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 6 months experience in a customer service role, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills and ability to learn property management systems quickly.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to guest satisfaction.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- A positive attitude, professional appearance, and reliable work ethic.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with Marriott's FOSSE or similar hotel property management software.
- Associate’s degree or relevant certification in Hospitality Management.
- Bilingual proficiency (e.g., Spanish, French) is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to de-escalate difficult situations and provide conflict resolution.
