Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and personable Restaurant Hostess to join our team. As a Restaurant Hostess, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, responsible for creating a welcoming and positive first impression. Your primary role involves greeting guests, managing reservations, seating patrons, and ensuring a smooth and efficient dining experience. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment and includes the added benefit of free living quarters within a short distance of the restaurant.
Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet and welcome guests upon arrival.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently.
- Answer phone calls and handle inquiries professionally.
- Maintain a clean and organized waiting area.
- Assist with managing wait times and ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Handle guest complaints and resolve issues promptly and courteously.
- Collaborate with the waitstaff to ensure smooth service.
- Contribute to a positive and efficient team environment.
- Assist with other restaurant tasks as needed.
Required Skills

- Professional and friendly demeanor
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Experience with restaurant POS systems (preferred)
- Proficient in handling reservations and seating arrangements
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic understanding of restaurant operations
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a restaurant hostess or in a similar customer service role
- Experience with reservation management software
- Knowledge of different dining styles and etiquette
- Fluency in English and Yoruba (preferred)
