Job Description

Pamo Clinic and Hospitals is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Health Assistant to join our dynamic team in Rumuola, Port Harcourt. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist medical staff with patient care, including taking vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, and supporting minor procedures.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of examination rooms, clinical areas, and medical equipment.
  • Manage patient flow, direct patients to appropriate areas, and ensure a comfortable waiting experience.
  • Provide administrative support such as scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and handling incoming calls.
  • Stock and replenish medical supplies, ensuring availability of necessary items.
  • Assist patients with mobility and personal care needs as required, while maintaining dignity and respect.
  • Liaise effectively with other departments to ensure coordinated patient care.
  • Adhere strictly to all clinic policies, procedures, and safety regulations, including infection control protocols.
  • Provide empathetic support to patients and their families, addressing questions and concerns appropriately.
  • Perform basic diagnostic tests under supervision, such as urinalysis or blood glucose checks, if trained.
