Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, unload, and process incoming shipments, verifying contents against packing lists and purchase orders.
  • Accurately pick, pack, and stage outgoing orders for customer pickup or delivery.
  • Organize and maintain the warehouse, ensuring products are stored in designated locations and readily accessible.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently (training provided if needed).
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and assist with physical inventory audits to maintain accurate stock levels.
  • Load and unload delivery trucks and customer vehicles with landscape materials.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment, adhering to all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with team members, sales staff, and management to ensure smooth branch operations and customer satisfaction.
  • Assist with general branch upkeep and maintenance as needed.

Required Skills

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum 6 months of experience in a warehouse, retail, or similar environment
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 75 lbs) regularly
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
  • Basic computer literacy (for inventory systems and order processing)
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

Preferred Qualifications

  • Forklift certification or previous experience operating material handling equipment
  • Experience with inventory management software (e.g., SAP, WMS)
  • Knowledge of landscape products or the green industry
  • Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
