Key Responsibilities
- Assist line cooks with various food preparation tasks, including chopping vegetables, portioning ingredients, and preparing sauces.
- Maintain a clean and organized work station, ensuring all equipment and surfaces are sanitized according to health and safety standards.
- Support the culinary team during peak service hours, helping to plate dishes and ensure timely delivery.
- Receive and properly store food deliveries, rotating stock to minimize waste.
- Adhere strictly to all food safety and hygiene regulations, including proper handling and storage of food items.
- Assist with inventory management, reporting low stock levels to the kitchen management.
- Perform general kitchen duties, including dishwashing, cleaning kitchen appliances, and disposing of waste.
- Learn and follow recipes and cooking instructions accurately under the guidance of senior chefs.
- Collaborate effectively with all kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure a seamless dining experience for guests.
