We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Electrician with expertise in wiring and installation to join our dynamic engineering team at Couples Tower Isle. Key Responsibilities
- Perform skilled electrical maintenance, repair, and installation tasks on all resort electrical systems and equipment, including lighting, power distribution, HVAC controls, and kitchen appliances.
- Execute new electrical wiring and installation projects, ensuring adherence to blueprints, specifications, and local electrical codes (e.g., Jamaica Electrical Code).
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical malfunctions using appropriate testing devices, ensuring timely and effective resolutions to minimize downtime and guest inconvenience.
- Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and activities on electrical systems to identify and address potential issues before they escalate.
- Respond promptly to electrical emergencies, including power outages, equipment failures, and safety concerns, often outside of normal working hours.
- Maintain accurate records of all electrical work performed, including repairs, installations, and preventative maintenance schedules.
- Collaborate effectively with other engineering team members, contractors, and resort departments to coordinate tasks and ensure seamless project execution.
- Ensure strict compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations and resort policies.
- Advise on energy efficiency improvements and implement solutions to reduce electrical consumption.
- Assist in inventory management for electrical parts and supplies.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in electrical wiring, installation, and maintenance.
- Thorough knowledge of electrical systems, circuits, and components.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for electrical malfunctions.
- Familiarity with national and local electrical codes (e.g., Jamaica Electrical Code).
