Key Responsibilities

  • Warmly welcome and greet guests upon their arrival at various event locations, creating a positive first impression.
  • Efficiently direct guests to their assigned seats, designated areas, registration points, or essential facilities with courtesy and clarity.
  • Provide accurate and up-to-date information regarding event schedules, facility locations, and general queries to enhance guest experience.
  • Manage queues and crowd flow effectively and safely, ensuring a smooth and orderly movement of guests throughout the venue.
  • Distribute event materials such as programs, flyers, gift bags, or promotional items as required by event organizers.
  • Assist guests with special needs, including those requiring disabled access, navigating the venue, or locating lost items.
  • Maintain a consistently professional appearance and demeanor at all times, acting as a positive ambassador for The Ushering Company.
  • Report any incidents, security concerns, technical issues, or emergencies to the event supervisor or relevant staff promptly.
  • Collaborate effectively and harmoniously with other event staff, security personnel, vendors, and client representatives.
  • Be proactive in identifying and resolving minor issues or guest concerns to enhance overall guest satisfaction and event success.

Required Skills

  • Excellent verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional customer service orientation and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and move around event venues comfortably and efficiently.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to speak multiple local languages (e.g., Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa) is a significant advantage.
