Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and analyses for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist in the development and monitoring of budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations, accounting standards (GAAP), and internal policies.
  • Support the annual audit process by preparing necessary documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
  • Process payroll, manage employee expense reports, and administer benefits-related financial tasks.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to management to optimize resource allocation and improve financial performance.
  • Maintain strong internal controls and continuously identify opportunities for process improvement and automation within the finance function.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support cross-functional projects and initiatives with financial expertise.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting roles, preferably within the financial services industry.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Solid understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
  • High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA designation or actively pursuing CPA certification.
  • Experience with broker-dealer or RIA specific accounting and regulatory reporting.
  • Master's degree in Finance or Business Administration.
  • Familiarity with financial planning and analysis (FP&A) methodologies.
  • Experience with payroll processing systems.
