Key Responsibilities
- Load and unload freight safely and efficiently from trailers using manual pallet jacks, forklifts, or by hand, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Sort, stack, and stage freight in designated areas according to established procedures, ensuring proper organization and maximizing space utilization.
- Verify product counts and condition against shipping manifests and report any discrepancies or damages promptly to supervisors.
- Operate various warehouse equipment, including but not limited to pallet jacks and other material handling equipment, after proper training and certification.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all company safety guidelines and OSHA regulations.
- Perform routine quality checks on incoming and outgoing products to ensure they meet standards.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to achieve daily operational goals.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including cycle counting and relocation of goods as needed.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling freight.
- Basic math and literacy skills to read labels and count inventory.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Commitment to safety procedures and protocols.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or distribution center environment.
