Job Description
Are you a seasoned IT Project Manager with a keen eye for technical detail and a passion for driving innovation in a challenging environment? Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and closure of IT projects, ensuring adherence to scope, budget, and timeline.
- Provide expert technical oversight on project deliverables, architecture, and design, ensuring alignment with organizational standards and best practices.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, with a particular focus on technical challenges and dependencies.
- Manage project teams, fostering collaboration, accountability, and a high-performance culture.
- Communicate project status, issues, and successes to all stakeholders, including senior management and technical teams.
- Ensure technical solutions meet quality standards, security requirements, and operational readiness.
- Facilitate technical discussions and decision-making processes, bridging the gap between business requirements and technical implementation.
- Manage vendor relationships and contracts for external technical resources and solutions.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including technical specifications, progress reports, and post-implementation reviews.
Required Skills
- Minimum 5 years of experience in IT Project Management, with a proven track record of delivering complex technical projects.
- Strong technical background in areas such as network infrastructure, software development, cloud technologies, or data management.
- Proficiency in project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects concurrently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities, with a meticulous attention to detail.
- Fluency in French and strong proficiency in English; knowledge of Swahili is a significant advantage.
- Experience with project management software (e.g., Jira, Asana, Microsoft Project).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or PRINCE2 certification.
- Agile/Scrum Master certification (CSM, SAFe).
- Experience in the telecommunications industry or a similar large-scale IT environment.
- Familiarity with ITIL framework and service management best practices.
