Key Responsibilities
- Receiving, unpacking, and checking incoming shipments against invoices and purchase orders for accuracy and quality.
- Storing products in designated warehouse locations using proper inventory management techniques, ensuring proper rotation.
- Picking and packing customer orders accurately and efficiently, preparing them for shipment.
- Operating warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts (if certified) safely and effectively.
- Conducting regular inventory counts and assisting with stock rotation to minimize waste and ensure product freshness.
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe working environment within the warehouse, adhering to all sanitation standards.
- Assisting with loading and unloading delivery trucks as needed, ensuring proper handling of all goods.
- Adhering to all company safety protocols and food handling regulations, including HACCP principles.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly throughout the day.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in managing inventory and fulfilling orders.
- Basic mathematical skills for counting and verifying products.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential for maintaining operational efficiency.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment and following all safety guidelines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience (6+ months) in a warehouse, logistics, or food distribution environment.
- Forklift certification or experience operating similar warehouse equipment.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems (WMS) or basic data entry skills.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
