Key Responsibilities
- Perform accurate and safe fitting, removal, and balancing of tyres on various vehicle types.
- Conduct puncture repairs in accordance with industry best practices and safety guidelines.
- Execute wheel alignment checks and adjustments using state-of-the-art equipment.
- Inspect tyres and associated components for wear, damage, and compliance with legal requirements.
- Advise customers on tyre care, recommended replacements, and ancillary services in a clear and professional manner.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Assist with stock management, including receiving, storing, and rotating tyre inventory.
- Operate and maintain workshop equipment, ensuring it is kept in good working order.
- Contribute to overall workshop efficiency and productivity, working effectively within a team.
- Complete all relevant paperwork and digital records accurately and promptly.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Tyre Fitter or in a similar automotive role.
- Technical proficiency in tyre fitting, balancing, and puncture repair.
- Strong understanding of vehicle safety standards and tyre regulations.
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Valid UK driving license.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to perform manual tasks.
Preferred Qualifications
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or equivalent.
- Experience with specialist tyres (e.g., commercial, high-performance, run-flat).
- Certification in wheel alignment techniques.
- Basic knowledge of other automotive components (e.g., brakes, exhausts).
- Familiarity with digital diagnostic tools and systems.
