Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Deputy General Manager to join our leadership team with an immediate start. This is a pivotal role within one of IBL Group’s key business units, reporting directly to the General Manager. The successful candidate will play a critical role in assisting the General Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations, strategic planning, and overall performance of the unit. Key Responsibilities
- Assist the General Manager in the formulation, implementation, and monitoring of business strategies and operational plans.
- Oversee the daily operations of the business unit, ensuring optimal efficiency, productivity, and adherence to company policies and standards.
- Manage and mentor a diverse team, fostering a culture of high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Monitor financial performance against budget, identify variances, and implement corrective actions to achieve financial targets.
- Drive business development initiatives, identify new market opportunities, and contribute to revenue growth strategies.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal governance frameworks.
- Act as a key liaison between various departments and external stakeholders, building and maintaining strong relationships.
- Lead and manage special projects as assigned by the General Manager, ensuring timely and successful completion.
- Prepare comprehensive reports on operational and financial performance for senior management review.
- Deputize for the General Manager in their absence, making informed decisions and ensuring business continuity.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in a senior management or deputy general manager role within a complex organization.
- Strong financial acumen with experience in budget management, P&L responsibility, and financial reporting.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with a track record of motivating and developing staff.
- Demonstrated strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) or a related field.
- Experience in one or more of IBL Group's core industries (e.g., hospitality, financial services, retail, logistics).
- Project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2).
