As a High-rise Window Cleaner, you will be an essential part of our operations, working at significant heights using various specialized equipment such as water-fed poles, cradles, abseiling (rope access) techniques, and mobile elevated work platforms (MEWPs). You will be entrusted with delivering meticulous cleaning services while strictly adhering to health and safety regulations, company policies, and best industry practices. Your daily tasks will involve more than just cleaning windows; it will encompass inspecting equipment, identifying potential hazards, coordinating with team members, and interacting professionally with clients. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality window cleaning on various building types, including high-rise structures, using appropriate and safe methods (e.g., rope access, cradles, MEWPs, water-fed poles).
  • Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations, company policies, and site-specific safety plans.
  • Conduct thorough pre-use checks and routine maintenance on all cleaning equipment, tools, and personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Set up and dismantle work sites safely, including rigging ropes, platforms, and other access equipment.
  • Work effectively and safely as part of a team, communicating clearly and coordinating tasks.
  • Identify and report any maintenance issues, damage, or safety concerns on buildings or equipment to management promptly.
  • Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with clients and the public.
  • Manage and organize cleaning supplies and equipment efficiently.
  • Complete required paperwork, including daily work logs and safety checklists.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in high-rise window cleaning methods (e.g., rope access, cradle systems, MEWPs).
  • Excellent understanding and practical application of health and safety protocols for working at heights.
  • Strong physical fitness, dexterity, and a confident, comfortable demeanor working at significant elevations.
  • Exceptional attention to detail to ensure streak-free, spotless results.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Reliable, punctual, and possessing a strong work ethic.
  • Good communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • IRATA Level 1 (or higher) certification for rope access.
  • IPAF 3a/3b certification for Mobile Elevated Work Platforms.
  • CSCS card.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • First Aid at Work certification.
