Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Store Manager in overseeing all daily store operations, ensuring smooth workflow and operational excellence.
- Supervise, train, and motivate store staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Drive sales performance to meet and exceed daily, weekly, and monthly targets through effective merchandising and customer engagement.
- Ensure exceptional customer service by promptly addressing customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback.
- Manage inventory levels, including receiving, stocking, and organizing merchandise to prevent stockouts and minimize waste.
- Implement and enforce company policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and security standards.
- Conduct regular store audits to maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, and visual merchandising.
- Assist with staff scheduling, performance evaluations, and conflict resolution.
- Handle cash management, including opening and closing procedures, reconciliations, and deposit preparation.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to strategic planning for store growth.
- Deputize for the Store Manager in their absence, taking full responsibility for store management and decision-making.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (minimum 3 years) in a supervisory or assistant management role within the retail sector.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities with a track record of motivating and developing staff.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-centric approach.
- Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Proficiency in inventory management and merchandising techniques.
- Solid understanding of retail operations, including cash handling and loss prevention.
