Key Responsibilities
- Operate the cash register and point-of-sale (POS) system accurately and efficiently to process customer orders and payments.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions with precision, providing correct change and issuing receipts.
- Greet customers warmly, take orders accurately, and answer questions about menu items, promotions, and store policies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and tidy cashier station and front counter area, including sweeping and mopping if necessary.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service, resolving customer complaints professionally and escalating issues when necessary.
- Assist with packing orders, checking for accuracy, and ensuring all items are present before handing to the customer.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure smooth service delivery, especially during peak hours.
- Perform opening and closing duties as assigned, including reconciling cash drawers and preparing daily sales reports.
- Adhere strictly to all food safety, hygiene, and company operational standards.
- Upsell and cross-sell menu items and promotional offers to enhance the customer experience and increase sales.
- Maintain a professional appearance and uphold the company's brand image at all times.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a cashier or in a customer service role, preferably in a restaurant or fast-food environment.
- Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail for accurate cash handling.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and outgoing personality.
- Ability to operate a Point-of-Sale (POS) system efficiently.
