Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary technical point of contact for prospective and existing enterprise clients, understanding their business requirements and technical challenges.
- Collaborate with the sales team to develop and present compelling technical proposals, demonstrations, and presentations tailored to client needs.
- Design and architect comprehensive telecommunications solutions, including data, voice, connectivity, and cloud services, that align with BTC's product portfolio.
- Conduct technical assessments and feasibility studies to ensure proposed solutions are viable, scalable, and meet client specifications.
- Provide expert technical consultation and support throughout the entire sales cycle, from initial contact to post-sales implementation support.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor offerings to effectively position BTC's solutions and maintain a competitive edge.
- Prepare detailed technical documentation, including solution designs, statements of work, and project specifications.
- Participate in product development feedback loops, relaying client needs and market insights to internal product and engineering teams.
- Negotiate technical aspects of contracts and manage client expectations effectively to ensure satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
- Contribute to achieving and exceeding sales targets by leveraging technical expertise to close deals and expand market share.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in technical sales or pre-sales engineering, preferably in telecommunications or IT.
- Strong understanding of telecommunications technologies (e.g., IP networking, fiber optics, cloud services, data centers, mobile technologies).
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and compelling business language.
- Proficiency in designing and architecting complex technical solutions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within Botswana to meet clients.
