Mercat Tours is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Part-Time Tour Guide to lead our new series of “City & Heritage Walks” in the charming and historically rich town of Musselburgh, Edinburgh. As a Tour Guide, you will be the face of our heritage experience, crafting compelling narratives that transport visitors through time. Required Skills

  • Proven experience in public speaking, presenting, or performance.
  • Excellent storytelling and communication skills, with the ability to captivate an audience.
  • Strong knowledge of Scottish history, particularly the history of Musselburgh and the wider Edinburgh area.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and stand/walk for extended periods.
