In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing personalized fitness programs, leading group exercise classes, and providing expert guidance to our diverse clientele within our hotel’s modern gym facility. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct one-on-one personal training sessions and small group training.
  • Design and implement customized exercise programs tailored to individual client needs and fitness levels.
  • Lead engaging and motivating group fitness classes (e.g., aerobics, circuit training, yoga, Zumba).
  • Educate clients on proper exercise techniques, injury prevention, and nutrition.
  • Assess client fitness levels, track progress, and provide constructive feedback.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe fitness environment, ensuring all equipment is in good working order.
  • Promote a positive and encouraging atmosphere for all gym users.
  • Stay updated with the latest fitness trends, research, and best practices.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and build strong relationships with hotel guests and gym members.
  • Assist with gym orientation for new members and guests.
  • Ensure adherence to all safety protocols and hotel policies.

Required Skills

  • Certified Personal Trainer (e.g., ACE, NASM, ACSM, ISSA or equivalent international certification).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Fitness Instructor or Personal Trainer.
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, kinesiology, and exercise science.
  • Proficiency in designing and demonstrating a variety of exercise techniques and programs.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and motivational skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Fluency in French and English.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Physical Education, or a related field.
  • Specialized certifications in specific fitness modalities (e.g., Yoga, Pilates, Spin, CrossFit).
  • Experience working in a hotel or hospitality fitness setting.
  • Additional language proficiency (e.g., Swahili, Lingala).
