Key Responsibilities
- Curate and perform engaging DJ sets across various genres, tailored to The Dalriada Bar's diverse clientele and specific event themes.
- Operate and maintain professional DJ and sound equipment, including setup, sound-checking, and basic troubleshooting.
- Engage with the audience, take requests where appropriate, and create a dynamic, interactive atmosphere.
- Collaborate with bar management and event coordinators to plan setlists and event schedules.
- Promote events and your performances through personal social media channels, if applicable.
- Ensure smooth transitions between tracks and maintain optimal sound levels throughout performances.
- Adhere to all venue policies, including those related to noise levels, licensing, and responsible service.
- Stay current with music trends and continuously expand your musical repertoire.
- Provide a professional and friendly presence, contributing positively to the overall customer experience.
- Manage technical aspects of live events, ensuring sound quality and equipment functionality.
Required Skills
- Proven expertise in DJing, with a strong portfolio showcasing diverse genre capabilities.
- In-depth knowledge of music across various eras and styles, including chart hits, indie, rock, pop, funk, soul, and electronic music.
- Proficiency in using industry-standard DJ software and hardware (e.g., Pioneer CDJs, rekordbox, Serato DJ).
- Exceptional crowd-reading abilities and the skill to adapt playlists in real-time.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot basic audio equipment issues independently.
- Excellent time management and punctuality.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by events schedule.
