Job Description

Saltire Hospitality is seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Catering Assistant to join our vibrant Event Food Service team in Cramond, Edinburgh. Key Responsibilities
- Assist chefs and kitchen staff with basic food preparation, plating, and presentation.
- Set up event spaces, including arranging tables, chairs, cutlery, crockery, and glassware according to event specifications.
- Serve food and beverages to guests in a professional, courteous, and efficient manner.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in all catering areas, adhering to food safety regulations.
- Ensure timely replenishment of food stations, drinks, and other service items during events.
- Assist with the clearing of tables, washing dishes, and general tidying up during and after events.
- Support the event management team with any ad-hoc duties to ensure smooth event operations.
- Interact positively with guests, addressing their needs and providing excellent customer service.
- Transport catering equipment and supplies to and from event locations when required.

- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as dictated by event schedules.
