Key Responsibilities
- Perform installation, configuration, and activation of telecommunications equipment for new and existing customers.
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of network infrastructure, including fiber optics, base stations, and customer premise equipment (CPE).
- Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues related to network outages, service disruptions, and customer complaints efficiently.
- Execute repairs and replacements of faulty equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and adherence to quality standards.
- Respond to service calls and emergencies promptly, ensuring timely resolution of technical problems.
- Educate customers on equipment usage, service features, and basic troubleshooting steps.
- Maintain accurate records of all installations, repairs, and maintenance activities, including detailed reports.
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols, company policies, and industry regulations during all field operations.
- Collaborate effectively with the network operations center (NOC) and customer service teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Stay updated with new technologies, tools, and best practices in the telecommunications industry.
Required Skills
- Strong technical aptitude for telecommunications equipment and networks.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and troubleshooting hardware and software issues.

- Associate's degree or National Diploma in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related technical field.
- Prior experience (1-2 years) as a Field Technician in the telecommunications or IT industry.
- Certifications in networking (e.g., CCNA) or specific vendor equipment.
- Familiarity with Airtel's network infrastructure and service offerings.
- Experience with fiber optic installation and testing.
