As a Commis Chef, you will be the backbone of our kitchen, working closely with our experienced chefs to prepare and deliver high-quality dishes. Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting senior chefs with food preparation, including washing, peeling, chopping, and dicing ingredients.
  • Ensuring all kitchen stations are clean, organised, and stocked with necessary ingredients before, during, and after service.
  • Learning and mastering basic cooking techniques under the guidance of experienced chefs.
  • Maintaining strict adherence to food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
  • Supporting the Head Chef and other kitchen staff with various tasks to ensure smooth service.
  • Receiving and storing deliveries, ensuring proper stock rotation and minimizing waste.
  • Cleaning and sanitising kitchen equipment, work surfaces, and utensils.
  • Contributing to a positive and collaborative team environment.
  • Taking initiative to learn new skills and adapt to different kitchen roles as needed.

Required Skills

  • Strong enthusiasm for cooking and a genuine interest in a culinary career.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and a willingness to follow instructions.
  • Basic understanding of food hygiene and safety practices (or willingness to learn immediately).

Preferred Qualifications
