Nigerian Breweries Plc is seeking a dedicated and experienced Logistics Officer to join our dynamic team in Calabar, Cross River. Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and monitor supply chain operations, including transportation, warehousing, and inventory management.
- Plan and track the shipment of final products according to customer requirements and company schedules.
- Prepare accurate logistics documentation (e.g., invoices, delivery notes, shipping manifests).
- Utilize logistics IT systems (e.g., SAP, ERP) to optimize procedures and ensure data accuracy.
- Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., production, sales) and external stakeholders (e.g., transporters, suppliers).
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with warehouse teams to ensure stock accuracy and availability.
- Identify and resolve logistics issues, such as delays, damages, and discrepancies, promptly.
- Ensure compliance with relevant local and international logistics regulations and company policies.
- Analyze logistical data to identify areas for improvement and implement cost-effective solutions.
- Prepare regular reports on logistics performance, costs, and efficiency metrics.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in logistics, supply chain, or operations, preferably within the FMCG sector.
- Proficiency in logistics software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems (e.g., SAP).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of inventory management and transportation best practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CIPS, CSCP).
- Master's degree in Supply Chain Management or a related discipline.
