Job Description
We are actively seeking a diligent and meticulous Laundry Attendant to join our vibrant team at Palms of Portmore Guest House. This critical role involves ensuring all guest linen, towels, and staff uniforms are impeccably cleaned, pressed, and maintained to the highest standards of hygiene and presentation. As a Laundry Attendant, you will be responsible for the full laundry cycle, from sorting and washing to ironing, folding, and organizing. Key Responsibilities
- Sort laundry items (linens, towels, uniforms) according to fabric type, color, and required wash cycles.
- Operate washing, drying, and ironing machines efficiently and safely.
- Perform thorough washing and pressing of all items, ensuring cleanliness and wrinkle-free presentation.
- Inspect all laundered items for stains, damage, or wear and tear, and report as necessary.
- Fold, stack, and organize clean laundry neatly, preparing it for distribution to guest rooms and other areas.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laundry room environment, adhering to hygiene standards.
- Monitor and manage laundry supplies, reporting needs to management for timely reordering.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines related to the use of laundry equipment and chemicals.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on laundry equipment and report any malfunctions promptly.
- Assist with inventory counts and maintain accurate records of laundry usage as required.
Required Skills
- Proven ability to operate laundry equipment (washers, dryers, irons).

- Physical stamina to stand, bend, lift, and move laundry items for extended periods.
