Global Resources Ltd. is seeking a motivated and hardworking individual to join our dynamic team as a Construction Assistant – Site Helper. This is an incredible entry-level opportunity for someone with little to no prior construction experience, as comprehensive training will be provided on-the-job. As a Construction Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our skilled construction teams, ensuring smooth daily operations, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. You’ll be involved in various aspects of construction, from preparing sites and handling materials to assisting tradesmen and learning practical skills directly from experienced professionals. Key Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradesmen (carpenters, masons, electricians, etc.) with their daily tasks on site.
- Prepare construction sites by cleaning, organizing materials, and setting up equipment.
- Load, unload, and distribute construction materials to various work areas.
- Operate basic hand and power tools under supervision, adhering to all safety guidelines.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by clearing debris, trash, and hazards regularly.
- Perform general labour duties as required, including digging, carrying, and lifting.
- Learn and apply new construction techniques and safety protocols diligently.
- Follow instructions from site supervisors and senior team members accurately and efficiently.
- Contribute to a positive and productive team atmosphere on site.
