Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and accurately record incoming goods, ensuring quantities match delivery notes and reporting any discrepancies.
- Efficiently store products in designated warehouse locations, optimizing space utilization and ensuring easy accessibility.
- Prepare and pack outgoing orders according to strict dispatch schedules and customer requirements.
- Operate manual and powered material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) safely and efficiently, following all company guidelines (training will be provided if necessary).
- Conduct regular stock counts and participate in inventory reconciliation activities to maintain accurate inventory records.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks, ensuring proper handling and securing of goods.
- Report any equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or quality issues to the supervisor promptly.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and other departments (e.g., logistics, production) to ensure smooth operations.
- Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Warehouse Supervisor.
Required Skills
- Minimum of SSCE/WASSCE certificate.
- Proven ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Commitment to safety protocols and procedures.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Certification in operating material handling equipment (e.g., forklift license).
