Job Description

Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc is seeking an experienced and dedicated Inventory Officer to join our dynamic team in Yangoji, Abuja. In this crucial role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the accurate and efficient management of all stock within our warehouse, from raw materials to finished goods. You will be responsible for maintaining precise inventory records, implementing robust control measures, and facilitating smooth inbound and outbound logistics. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile them with system records, investigating and resolving discrepancies promptly.
- Manage the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods, ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to company procedures.
- Monitor stock levels and identify potential shortages or overstock situations, reporting findings to relevant departments.
- Implement and maintain robust inventory control systems and processes to optimize stock rotation and minimize loss.
- Ensure proper storage conditions for all products, adhering to safety, health, and quality standards.
- Prepare and submit accurate inventory reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to optimize space utilization and product placement.
- Coordinate with procurement and sales teams to facilitate timely order fulfillment and stock replenishment.
- Conduct root cause analysis for inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
- Oversee the labelling, categorization, and tracking of all warehouse items.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures related to inventory management.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in inventory management and warehouse operations.
- Proficiency in inventory management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

- Certification in Inventory Management (e.g., CPIM, CSCP) or Logistics.
